Why won't the VRD-MC1 detect my printer?

In order for VRD-MC1 to communicate with a printer, the printer must have PictBridge capability. If the printer has PictBridge capability, there should be a Pictbridge logo on the printer. To print from a Pictbridge printer, start by selecting STANDALONE mode. The switch to select this mode is next to the USB port on VRD-MC1. The switch is located next to the USB port. Select from the main menu on VRD-MC1, Photo View/Print. Select where your photos are stored, DVD or Memory Cards. The photos will be displayed. Once you have decided to print, switch from STANDALONE mode to PC/PRINT. The switch is next to the USB port.
